Delivery
Our charges for carriage are based upon the cost charged by Royal Mail. Royal Mail's prices are based on the size and weight of the package. Our carriage rates reflect their charges and are based on their LOWEST weight for each size. We have four bands:
Prints up to 15x10 are sent out in board-backed envelopes that match the Royal Mail packing guidelines. Poster prints are sent out using sturdy (i.e. heavy) postal tubes. We used to send all packages by recorded delivery but the Royal Mail have also made cuts in compensation for lost or damaged mail. We now send most orders by normal first class post and put 50p per order into a fund that is used to cover lost or damaged prints. Higher value orders still go by recorded delivery, so in the case of non-delivery, Royal Mail will normally be able to track the location of the package and get it to you very quickly. The amount you pay for carriage is therefore made up of:
We make no profit from p&p. We even reuse tubes wherever possible - as well as being good recycling practice, it keeps costs - and therefore prices - down.
