We're pleased to be the official photographers for the expanded Ecosse Challenge again for the 2010 season - our fifth year as official photographers. We don’t charge the Challenge a penny for our work which, over a season, is a contribution worth well over £5000. We’re proud that we are now full partners in 2010.

During the new season, we are running a couple of trials. Firstly, to upload photos while the event is still under way. This depends upon the time available between stages. If there is time, we will process some pics and get them uploaded so that the Challenge press crew can start to send the pics round the media.

A second trial, is running in conjunction with the University of Abertay Dundee. At today’s shakedown you’ll see myself along with Dr Colin Cartwright setting up pairs of cameras. Why? Well, we’re going to experiment with 3D images and 3D video. During the season, our experiments will reveal the right and wrong ways, and help to find the best settings for 3D. It’s a whole new area and the Challenge - and that means you - will be in the vanguard!

Here are some of the services that we are able to offer to registered competitors.

Event CDs

For every event we cover, we publish a CD with pictures of every car in the rally. Wouldn't it be nice to give your sponsors or service crew a copy to say “Thanks”? Normally, these sell for £9.99 (including VAT and postage) but, if you sign up to take them for the whole series, we'll let you have 5 copies for just £15 per event, or 10 copies for £25.

Photo CDs

Event CDs are great to view on screen, but to see the real detail or make prints, you really need high-resolution files. We can provide a DVD with all our photos of your car on an event. Each of the images are individually processed by hand to optimise brightness, colour and sharpness - so you can be sure that the files you receive are the best that they can be. For 2010, we have reduced our prices again. The price to Challenge crews will be a measly £12 per event. AND, if you sign up to take them for the whole series, we'll cut that to just £10 per event, including VAT and postage.

Remember that most photographers charge about £30 for this service.

Slideshow

A great promotional tool to make available on your website, or just to hand round friends and contacts. We'll take our shots of your car on an event and make them into a slideshow, complete with transitions between pages and an overlay with event details and your own branding (including your main sponsor). We can email the files direct to you, and you can make as many copies as you like. The cost is only £20 per event, or £15 if you subscribe for the whole season.

Photographic Prints

Lastly, we can provide prints of your car in action. We think that our prices for prints were very fair . But have you looked recently? Improved workflow and processing techniques have let us slash them - in many cases they are 1/2 or even 1/3 of the previous prices. But the quality is still the same - proper photographic prints on proper photographic paper printed in a proper photographic lab. That's not bad, is it? There’s no further discount on these prices - we thought it would be better to just give the best possible price to everyone.
